Tens of thousands of antiques and collectables will be transported to the Royal Welsh Showground at Builth Wells in the week leading up to September 9 and 10 for one of the best antique shows in the country. Hundreds of antique dealers from across Europe, the UK and Ireland will be exhibiting fine antiques and collectables, from tiny silver thimbles to fine furniture, dressers, chests, tables etc. The stand- fitted exhibition halls will present a wonderful selection of some of the finest antiques in the country, with prices ranging between £50 and £10,000. Outside, the grass arenas and roadways will be packed with marquees, tents, vans etc., offering every kind of antique and collectable imaginable, including garden furniture. It's here where you will be able to rub shoulders with the BBC Bargain Hunt team filming the competitors hunting for bargains. Add to all this the eight huge drive-in buildings where exhibitors drive in and set up undercover, and it makes for a wonderful festival of antiques, where you see, touch, compare, and buy beautiful things from the past. With crowds of between 10 and 15,000 expected it is advisable to start early. The gates open at 10 am and admission is £3.50, with children free.
