From bushcraft to bird watching and hands-on history to beach cleans, enjoy inspirational days out with the National Trust in South West Wales this February half-term.

The conservation charity is hosting a series of family events and activities at its special places in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire, with indoor and outdoor adventures on offer.

Wildlife explorers will love making bird feeders and spotting a variety of feathered friends at Dinefwr Park in Llandeilo, with guided sessions running daily throughout the holidays.

At Colby Woodland Garden near Amroth, it’s all about learning the bushcraft basics with a guided workshop covering den building, fire lighting and cooking on a campfire on Sunday, February 18.

Elsewhere, the Tudor Merchant’s House in Tenby reopens its doors for all things 15th century and a half-term of history and mystery.

While further along the coast at Freshwater West, visitors are invited to take part in a beach clean on Wednesday, February 21, or take flight at Gupton Farm as the site hosts a free kite festival on Friday, February 23.

The fun continues at Llanerchaeron near Aberaeron where you’ll find daily activities to keep you busy. There’s bread making and wallpaper decorating in the villa, working sheepdog demonstrations on the farm and sweet pea sowing in the garden.
