On Tuesday, June 28, the Inner Wheel Club of Pembroke held their monthly meeting, followed by their annual general meeting at the Cleddau Bridge Hotel.

The officers gave their reports for the year and the president, Mrs. Rosalind Silcox, gave a resumé of some of the activities. Mrs. Silcox thanked members for their support and said how much everyone had enjoyed the friendship evenings.

A new member, Mrs. Lynne Jakeway, was inducted, bringing the number of members to a very pleasing 37, especially as many clubs' numbers are dwindling.

Mrs. Silcox then handed the chain of office to the incoming president, Mrs. Monica Vanner.

Mrs. Vanner thanked Mrs. Silcox, on behalf of the club, for her two years of leadership, and said she would have a hard act to follow.

Mrs. Silcox then received a garden voucher from the club as a token of thanks for holding the office of president for 2010/2011.
