The October meeting was held at the Fourcroft on Monday evening when president Joyce welcomed members to a short business meeting, followed by a talk and demonstration by a health and beauty specialist.
A special welcome was extended to Joy Dingwall from the Inner Club of Hounslow.
Reports were given on events attended by members since the last meeting. The welcome home dinner, organised by Rotary, for Rosie Swale-Pope, had been a memorable evening.
President Joyce had represented the club at the RAFA church service and, together with several members, had enjoyed a visit to Picton Castle for the flower festival.
A coffee morning and Welsh Cake bake in aid of overseas charities had been very successful.
Forthcoming events include: the Birthday Dinner on November 12; district meeting on November 13; Tenby Tangent Fellowship Dinner with speaker, Deborah Griffiths (from Coal House) on November 19.
A letter had been received from the Inner Wheel Club of Behala, District 329 India, wishing to form a friendship link with the Tenby club to exchange ideas and information.
It was reported that the fund for the president's charity, DebRA, was growing nicely, also sales of the Friends for Dinner cookery book had exceeded 400 copies to date. There are lots more to sell with all proceeds going to Cancer Research Wales.
Following the coffee break, president Joyce welcomed Alice and her assistant Emma from The White Room, Health and Beauty Salon, Milford Haven and Tenby.
An entertaining and informative evening followed, during which Betty was treated to a facial and others enjoyed a hand massage. Lots of samples were given away and Alice and Emma were warmly thanked by the president. Everyone is now planning to try one of the many relaxing and pampering treatments being offered at the salon.
A reminder was given regarding the nearly new bring and buy to be held at Joyce's home on October 21.
The next meeting will be on November 10.
