Police are investigating a serious assault which took place at the showground in Haverfordwest during the early hours of yesterday (Thursday) morning. Two men were taken to Withybush Hospital with injuries which are not believed to be life threatening. An area of the showground was cordoned off, but it did not affect the final day of the County Show which went ahead as planned. "This is believed to be an isolated incident and enquiries are continuing," said a police spokeswoman. Police later confirmed that two men had been arrested in connection with the assault and as we were going to press, they were at Haverfordwest Police Station.
