Every year Pembroke and Castlemartin Conservative Club hold a pink night in memory of Audrey Thompson, a member who lost her battle against breast cancer several years ago, and each year they exceed the previous amount.

The night consists of everyone dressing in pink and enjoying a disco, raffle and cake sale, which is organised by steward Karen Ringham.

Local businesses generously supply prizes for the raffle and local members bake the cakes.

This year they raised the magnificent sum of £800 and are looking to increase it again next time, which will be in July.

The charity supports anyone with the disease and can be contacted on 0808 800 6000.
