I am writing to ask for your readers help. I want to encourage everyone to join me in supporting Breast Cancer Care's In the Pink campaign during October to help raise money and support thousands of people affected by breast cancer.
In the Pink is all about having fun and getting together with friends, family and work colleagues to raise money for a great cause. All you need to do is hold your own pink fund-raising event during October.
The great thing about In the Pink is you can do anything - get creative and sell pink smoothies to your colleagues or have a dinner party and charge for every course you serve (pink food of course!). Like many people, I have friends and family members who have been affected by breast cancer and this is a cause close to my heart.
Over 44,000 people are diagnosed every year, making breast cancer the most common cancer in the UK. Breast Cancer Care is a fantastic charity operating to offer everyone affected the support and information they need.
