Jay Brace, of Tenby, completed the 1.2 mile Long Course Weekend swim in a fantastic time of 48.40. At only 15 years of age, this makes his efforts even more significant.

Jay is a member of the Junior Aces and that Friday evening formed part of the Bloodwise Long Course Weekend swimming team.

He swam with his dad (Chris Brace), both emerging from the water after swimming the 1.2 miles together and it’s rumoured that Jay had to slow up significantly to stay with his dad and had to force him back into the sea to complete his 2.4-mile swim!
