Tenby In Bloom have given a helping hand to one of the seaside town’s ‘green fingered’ volunteers.

In Bloom chair Sue Lane and fellow committee member Tish Rossiter have presented gardening volunteer Tim Caddey with a donation to help him spruce-up the Lions Garden, alongside Battery Gardens.

“The money is to purchase plants and shrubs for the enhancement of that area,” said Mrs Lane.

“Tenby and District Lions originally paid for the structure of the wishing well and garden area.

“Tenby in Bloom is an organisation with charitable status and we have been fundraising for many years now.

“We are not well off by any means but as a very small organisation we hope that the £150 donated to Mr Caddey is enough for him to achieve his aims,” added Mrs Lane.

Mr Caddey also offered his thanks to Pembrokeshire County Council for donating plants and compost for the project.
