I sent a letter by email to Mr. Neil Bennett, head of information and cultural services, Pembrokeshire County Council, about my disappointment on learning that the Saundersfoot Library was not to have its opening hours extended.
Summarising Mr. Bennett's reply, he stated that the opening hours reflect historical patterns and the use of the library; my expectation of an increase not being mirrored by others in our community and that in many library services in Wales and across the UK, a community the size of Saundersfoot, having a population of 2,800, would be served by a mobile library stop.
If your readers are as interested as I in having better opening hours at Saundersfoot Library, would they please contact Mr. Neil Bennett expressing their views. Thank you.
