Sea-goers around Saundersfoot Bay were treated to a spectacular impromptu dolphin show this week, with a repeat performance the following evening!
Observer readers who witnessed the action just off Monkstone Point, have been sending us their photographs of the dolphin display.
Wisemans Bridge Rowing Club member Liz Lloyd, who was out on the water with some of her fellow club members on Tuesday said the rowers had "front row" seats to the show.
"I was out rowing with my Wisemans Bridge Rowing Club team-mates, all of our boats were out, including a relaunch of our renovated Pembrokeshire longboat 'Dirty Dick', which has been refurbished to join us all in the London river race on Saturday, and we were honoured to have a front row seat to the most amazing performance by a dolphin just off Monkstone Point for the whole of the evening we were out!" she said.
"It was continually leaping out of the water and showing off.
"We went out again last night (Wednesday) to the exact same show. It was amazing!" she added.
Wisemans Bridge resident Carole Llewellyn was out with her husband Norman on their boat on Wednesday evening, along with their grandchildren eight-year-old Lucas and five-year-old Abigail Stevens (both pupils of Saundersfoot School) when the dolphins started to perform.
"It was a spectacular display by two of the biggest dolphins we have ever seen in the bay," she remarked.
"It went on for at least two hours and it was almost dark when we came in as we were reluctant to leave them.
"It was quite funny when the Wisemans Bridge ladies rowing team were passing. They were in full flow shouting 1,2,3,4, etc, when we heard them shout out and stop dead.
"I then took a video of one dolphin practically jumping in with them.
"My husband Norman usually enjoys the company of a seal on Monkstone Point while he is fishing, so this made a change," added Carole.
Local antiques dealer Johnny Bull, who was out on his boat late on Tuesday afternoon, also got the dolphin to pose for a picture for him.
"It was leaping clear out of the water, with it's tail right in the air," he said.
