Tenby's inshore lifeboat responded to a call from a small motor boat, which had broken down just off Marros Beach, between Amroth and Pendine, on Sunday afternoon.

The boat, carrying two people, had run out of fuel and the owners from Mid Glamorgan called for help using a mobile 'phone, as there was no VHF radio on board. The boat's anchor was used to stop it from drifting further out.

The craft was towed into Saundersfoot, where the owners were staying.
