Two years after appearing in the Phil Evans & Friends comedy night at Llangwm’s 2015 Scarecrow Festival, Ignacio Lopez is back with his very own show Comedy Sheep - Pop Up Comedy Club.

Half Spanish and half Welsh, Ignacio has been performing stand-up in English for five years. Splitting his time between Spain and the UK, he has become a much demanded opener, closer and Master of Ceremonies, entertaining with his unique brand of observations and witty lines, offering audiences a taste of what it’s like to be the outsider, and sometimes combining music and comedy, parodying famous songs to show cultural differences with hilarious results.

In 2011, Ignacio beat thousands of comedians to appear in the final 10 competing in ITV’s ‘Show Me The Funny’. He also appeared on Spanish television, and on children’s TV show ‘Tati’s Hotel’ which aired both in the UK and Canada.

In 2012, Ignacio hit the festivals and had successful runs at Machynlleth, Edinburgh and Brighton. He also performed a run of theatre shows with ‘Comedy Sheep’, a South Wales comedy group. Recently Ignacio performed his solo show ‘Spain’s Best Export’ in Fratton Park, Portsmouth FC’s ground, as part of a successful world record attempt for longest stand-up comedy show. Comedian and organiser, Joe Wells, singled out Ignacio’s performance as his highlight of the show in The Guardian.

Ignacio Lopez will be appearing along with his friends from Comedy Sheep at Llangwm’s Village Hall on Friday, June 30, at 7.30 pm. Tickets are £7.50 for adults and £3.50 for children under 14. Tickets can be obtained from Llangwm shop or by calling 01437 89 99 66 to book seats. The Pop Up Comedy Club is supported by Night Out.
