A meeting held by the Christmas Festivities sub-committee in Tenby, to discuss ways of enhancing the Christmas experience in Tenby, to give people an extra reason to visit the town over the festive period, has been described as "positive" by the town's Mayor.

Speaking on the discussions which were held last week, between members of the town council and representatives of Tenby Chamber of Trade and Tourism, Mayor, Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane, told her colleagues this week that everyone went away from the meeting with things to look at.

"Anyone who can come to the next meeting with more ideas and suggestions, then feel free to join us," she told her fellow members at Tuesday night's meeting of the town council.

The town clerk, Mr. Andrew Davies, reported that St. Mary's Church had been generously given a Christmas tree for planting that would hopefully become the main tree for the church grounds in the future.

"There were lots of ideas flowing at this meeting," commented Clr. Mrs. Caroline Thomas, with the next meeting of the committee due to be held on Tuesday, May 6.
