TO commemorate her husband, on her 65th birthday, Christine Izzard asked friends and relatives to donate money, rather than buy presents, to fund another Syringe Driver which is used for cancer patient care. The Syringe Driver will be used in the Tenby and District Community. Other funding ideas quickly followed, and in all, the total raised was £803. Thanks go to all participants, particularly locals of the Castle Inn, Manorbier, especially landlords Terry and Irene, and local businesses who contributed directly or by donating prizes for the Castle Inn Easter raffle. The total raised from this was £303, including Tracy's bonus ball winnings which she generously donated. Katy Izzard, Christine's granddaughter, also raised a total of £220 through sponsorship when she successfully fasted for 24 hours. In all, total funds raised for the new Syringe Driver amounted to £803.
