Effective leadership is a key contributor to the stability and success of community and voluntary organisations.

As part of its training programme, Pembrokeshire Association of Voluntary Services (PAVS) is running a training session on ‘How to be an Effective Chair’ on Thursday, May 26.

This session is aimed at individuals who are new to the role of the chair, or existing chairs who wish to refresh their knowledge. The session will cover the role of the chair; the skills and knowledge required and top tips for running a successful meeting.

The session will run from 10 am to 1 pm at PAVS’ offices in Haverfordwest and booking is essential.

PAVS offers a full training programme developed to meet the needs of the voluntary sector. Future sessions include an Introduction to Volunteer Management, Google Office - everything you need online and for free and Role of the Secretary, Meetings and Minutes.

To reserve your place on any of the sessions, please contact PAVS on 01437 769422, email [email protected] or see PAVS’ website www.pavs.org.uk for further details.

PAVS’ training is affordable; voluntary or community groups pay only £15 per place on a half-day session and PAVS’ full members receive a £3 discount on this price.
