An application to convert a South Pembrokeshire hotel into a residential home has been refused. Members of Pembrokeshire Coast National Park's development management committee turned down the application by PRP Training Ltd in respect of the Tudor Lodge, Jameston, at their meeting on Wednesday. The application was refused on the grounds that the application was contrary to Policy 21 of the Joint Unitary Development Plan in that the authority was not convinced on the basis of the steps taken thus far that the continued use as a hotel was unviable, and that the Park considered that consent for the proposed change of use could lead to further applications of a similar nature prejudicing proper planning to the detriment of the amenities and character of the area.
