Sir, During August, Tenby House Hotel held two annual charity nights in memory of Griff Fisher. This year the weather was kinder for both evenings, and everyone was able to enjoy being outside in the courtyard to listen to the bands performing. All the activities take time in organising, but are greatly enjoyed by the children who attend, and as usual everyone went home with at least one prize. Any charity event needs the support of others, who contribute of their time, and with the provision of prizes for the raffle. My personal thanks go to all the local businesses and attractions who gave prizes, and to those who gave their time,. Without continued support, such fund-raising events would not be possible. We were able to forward a cheque for £5,000 to Ward 10 this year. To everyone involved in making both evenings so successful, including all the staff of Tenby House and friends too many to mention, a very big 'thank you.' Your support really does benefit the patients and their families on Ward 10.
