Letters of objection relating to the ongoing saga of erecting a telecommunications mast near Tenby's Brynhir reservoir are to be forwarded by the town council to the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority.
New member Clr. Michael Evans, who is the council's representative on the North Cliff Residents Association and North Tenby Residents Association, told fellow councillors on Tuesday night that he had received "a host of letters from residents near Brynhir," who were all opposed to the development.
Confusion arose amongst councillors as to the current standing on the application and whether a resolution had been passed by the town council.
Clerk, Mr. Andrew Davies, explained that the council's resolution was that they wanted one mast to cover all networks, which was in a remote place with no risk to public safety, due to the fact that health risks from such masts had not yet been disproved
The National Park are due to hold a meeting on May 21, when the application by O2 will be decided upon.
