The Friends of South Pembrokeshire Hospital are very pleased to inform everyone about the recent help and support given by the team at Vaughans in Haverfordwest and Clr. Peter Stock.

Funds have been raised by the Friends to provide 24 new television sets in the Sunderland Ward at South Pembrokeshire Hospital Health and Social Care Resource Centre in Pembroke Dock.

They were needed to update 19 of the 20 single-bedded rooms and five four-bedded rooms. The old style sets were not digital and could only access four channels. Often members of the staff had to stand on chairs to adjust them!

The engineers from Vaughan carefully assessed the needs of the patients. Not only were sets needed, but all the brackets had to be replaced - different in the single rooms to the four-bedders. When the equipment haad been selected it was fitted in the ward with a minimum of fuss to the patients and staff alike.

The comments received so far have been very positive.

Alan Vaughan and his staff took a personal interest in the scheme and the Friends thank the company for the generous discount given.

In today's frenetic lifestyle, it is so gratifying to find a local company which is so willing to help.
