Sir, I would be most grateful if you would please publish my experience of 11 days in Withybush Hospital. I was recently admitted to the A&E Department of Withybush Hospital, suffering from severe abdominal pain. The department was extremely busy, but I was seen almost immediately by a doctor, who quickly assessed the need for me to be admitted to the main hospital. A bed was not available for several hours. However, every effort was made to see that I was made as comfortable as possible. Following my arrival in Ward 3 and subsequent visits to x-ray and scan and onward to the operating theatre under Mr. Umughele, I received the highest level of kind, dedicated and professional care at all times. In particular, I would like to thank Senior Sister Tessa Cooper and the many levels of staff working under her in Ward 3. Their ever cheerful personalities, sense of humour, combined with the most professional care one could ever wish for, made a big contribution to my speedy recovery. I hope that through your columns I may be able to express a small degree of the gratitude I owe to them all. Thank you.
Rodney Jameson, East Williamston.
