Sir,
I recently visited a friend in Saundersfoot who is almost blind in one eye due to a cataract.
He has required an operation for nearly two years, but on two occasions has been informed by letter from Withybush Hospital there are no resources available for such operations.
Maybe this is partly due to free prescriptions in Wales?
Is Wales becoming a third world country which in future will rely on Comic Relief etc for patient care?
The waiting list on Merseyside, England, is about six months.
Come on Withybush and help my friend.
J. Camp,
Wirral.
