Emergency rescue services went to the aid of a rider who fell from her horse on Saundersfoot beach on Saturday.

Milford Haven operations room received a telephone call from ambulance control requesting assistance to the female shortly after 3 pm.

Tenby, Manorbier and Caldey Coastguard Rescue Teams, along with the South Pembs. Sector Manager, Dave Miller, and police and ambulance units were tasked to the scene.

The casualty, a 47-year-old, was initially dazed from her fall, but was assessed by ambulance personnel and later released.

The horse was located safe and well by the stables.
