Tenby, Manorbier and St. Govans coastguard teams, together with a vet and the RSPCA, attended the cliffs at Swanlake Bay, Manorbier, last Tuesday afternoon, August 28, where a Welsh cob horse had fallen and injured itself.

On arrival, the teams found the horse in a very distressed state. Unfortunately, and despite efforts, the horse died shortly after the coastguard and vet's arrival.

It is believed the horse managed to get through a fence and fall onto boulders injuring itself fatally.
