Tenby's Deputy Mayor has said that she is hoping for some positive news on the future of Tenby's Minor Injury Unit after a recent meeting to discuss the matter.

Speaking at Tuesday night's meeting of Tenby Town Council, Clr. Mrs. Caroline Thomas, who is also secretary of the South East Pembrokeshire Community Health Network (SEPCHN), said that she and the organisation's chairman, Mr. Mansel Thomas, along with local county councillor Jon Preston, had recently met with local AMs Rebecca Evans and Joyce Watson to pass on their concerns regarding the possible closure of the MIU and views on future additional uses for the hospital facility.

Clr. Mrs. Thomas told her fellow members that the local Community Health Council were still in dialogue with the Hywel Dda Health Board on the matter and that she was hoping for some positive news soon.
