The spoils were shared in this local derby as Saundersfoot had to come from behind to nick a draw in a scrappy contest at the King George V Playing Fields on Saturday.
The home side started off well in this Division Four encounter and threatened the Carew goal early on with a few close efforts, but the visitors began to find their feet in an untidy opening half and made the breakthrough when a mistake at the back from the Saundersfoot 'keeper allowed Huw Evans in for a simple tap-in to give his side the lead at the interval.
Sports came out after the break looking to exert some pressure on the Carew defence in what so far had been a lacklustre performance from the team that had notched up seven goals with no reply the week before.
The breakthrough came midway through the second half when a long throw from left-back Paul 'Tiny' Thomas caused confusion in Carew's penalty area and after a scramble, Carl Wainwright managed to force the ball into the back of the net.
Late in the game, Sports went searching for a winner, but Carew's 'keeper made a couple of good saves to ensure his side left with a point.
