CLYNDERWEN-born Dyfrig John, who retired in March as chief executive of HSBC following a distinguished career in banking, was one of seven individuals to receive an Honorary Fellowship at Bangor University last week.
A native of West Wales, he had been chief executive since 2006, and prior to that had served as deputy chief executive and in a number of other international banking roles.
He joined Bangor University Business School graduates at their degree ceremony to receive the Honorary Fellowship for his services to banking.
