The wedding took place on July 12 at St. Mary's Church in Tenby of Mr. Gareth Jenkins and Dr. Catherine Mackay. The service was conducted by the rector, Andrew Davies, and was followed by a reception at Hurst House, Laugharne. The groom, an IT software analyst, is the youngest son of Maldwyn and Pam Jenkins, of Kenfig Hill, and the bride, a general practitioner, is the only daughter of Alistair and Gillian Mackay, of Tenby. Given away by her father, the bride wore a sweetheart neckline ivory dress embellished with lace appliqués, glass beads, sequins, rhinestones and Swarovski crystals and carried a bouquet of purple orchids. Bridesmaids Dr. Rachael Davies and Dr. Jessica Bartlett wore deep purple tea-length dresses and the best man was Mr. James Bois. The three ushers were Christopher Mackay, Allan Jenkins and Hugh David. The couple are presently honeymooning in the Maldives.
