Honeymooning in South Africa following their recent wedding at St. Florence Church are Mr. Charles Owen and his bride, Miss Charlotte Elizabeth Williams.
The groom, a farmer, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Owen, of Upper Hoaten Farm, St. Brides, Haverfordwest, while the bride, a civil servant with Pembrokeshire Action Team, is the daughter of Mrs. Heather Williams and the late Mr. David Williams, of East Tarr Farm, St. Florence.
Given away by her brother, Mr. Paul Williams, the bride looked attractive in an Ian Stewart designer dress in silk organza decorated with a small flower motif and seed pearls, with long gloves also decorated with motifs.
Attending her as bridesmaids were her nieces, Isabell and Abigail Meyrick, who wore pale ivory dresses with pink sashes and large bows, with pink rose buds.
Best man was the groom's cousin, Mr. Lawson Owen, while ushers were toastmaster Mr. Mark Twoney (college friend), Mr. Nicholas Varner (cousin), Mr. Mark Meyrick, Mathew and Daniel Barber, Geoff Lewis and James Owen.
Officiating at the ceremony was Rev. Victor Milgate, with Mrs. Morgan at the organ.
Afterwards, a reception for 400 guests was held in a beautiful marquee at the bride's home, East Tarr Farm.
Later the couple left for their honeymoon, during which they will be travelling through South Africa from the Kruger National Park to Cape Town.
When they return, they will make their home at Lower Hoaten Farm, St. Brides, Haverfordwest.
