The wedding took place at St. Patrick's Church, Pennar, Pembroke Dock, on Saturday, of Mr. Richard John Griffiths and Miss Caroline Mary Howells. The groom, a process operator at Texaco, is the eldest son of John Griffiths and Shirley Howell, of Pennar, Pembroke Dock, while the bride an HR manager, is the only daughter of Richard and Maura Pollard, of Pen-yr-Aber, Fishguard. Given away by her father, the bride wore an elegant straight gold strapless gown with pleated bodice, while the bridesmaids, Kate Howells (bride's daughter) and Emily Davies and Laura Davies (groom's nieces), wore A-line fuchsia taffeta gowns with beading on the bodice. All carried bouquets of roses, freesia and gerberras. Best man was Bill Kellaway (groom's friend), while the ushers were Neil Griffiths (groom's brother) and Grant Weston and Robert Weston (groom's nephews). After the ceremony, which was conducted by Rev. Mike Brotherton (a friend of the groom), a reception was held at the Cleddau Bridge Hotel. The couple, who are honemooning in Cyprus, will be making their future home in Glenover Fields, Haverfordwest.
