The wedding took place last Thursday at St. Issell's Church, Saundersfoot, of Mr. Michael John Murphy junior and Miss Emma Blomquist. The groom is the son of Michael John Murphy, of Graiguenamanagh, Co. Kilkenny, and Carmel McDonald Denogent, of Kilmacow, Co. Kilkenny. The bride is the daughter of Frances Blomquist, of 5 Knowling Mead, Tenby, and granddaughter of Mrs. Eliza Lloyd and the late Edward Lloyd, also of Tenby. Given away by her brother, Mikael Blomquist, the bride wore a champagne strapless gown, beaded in a diamond and swirl patter that wrapped around the back in gold accents. The beading swept down to join an intricate hem. The back was just as pretty, with a thick lace ribbon corset over a modesty panel and a round train. Attending her as bridesmaid was her friend, Frances Canning. Best man was Dr. James Fudge (friend), while the ushers were Nikolas Blomquist (brother) and Salem Sinawi (groom's nephew). The ceremony was conducted by Canon Michael Butler. A reception followed at Heywood Mount Hotel, Tenby, during which the couple cut a wedding cake made by Mrs. Catherine Doyle, of Ullard, Co. Kilkenny. The couple will be spending their honeymoon on a road trip in Colorado. They will be making their home in Knockbarron North, Co. Kilkenny.
