Sir,

Once again I must thank the many friends who have expressed concern about my current circumstances at Glendower House. My thanks also to all the well- wishers who sent flowers which look lovely in my window. I can assure all concerned that the men in white coats were not there to take me away, but to remove the asbestos! Had I known they were coming, I'd have made some Welsh cakes or perhaps have made an extra jar of marmalade! Yes, I am still holding out. I only want the assurances legally entitled to me, as a resident of 21 years, before I seek temporary lodgings elsewhere. I now have the help of an understanding and influential gentleman! At my time of life, I find this rather wonderful. It's my MP who has helped focus a few minds. Thank you Mr. Ainger.

Sue Eynon-Crockford, Tenby.
