Tenby managed to hold out for 15 minutes, before a breakaway try was scored by the Cardigan scrum-half, quickly followed by another from their centre.
All credit to the Tenby youngsters, they did not drop their heads, but picked up their game and put pressure on Cardigan. From a good forward movement, Gareth Edwards scored a try wide out and Thomas Lewis added the conversion from the touchline.
The first half finished with both sides playing some very good rugby.
Tenby put Cardigan under a lot of pressure at the beginning of the second half, but were unable to turn pressure into points. Time and again, they were frustrated near the line and Cardigan again scored breakaway tries.
Mention must be made of Nick Rowe's very good debut at scrum-half.
Cardigan's discipline sadly let them down, and two of their team were sent to the sin bin.
Tenby took advantage of this situation and attacked again. This time the hard-working Harry Bolton crashed over for a try, to round off the day's scoring.
Tenby fielded: G. Hughes, Andrew John, M. Stephens, D. Keight, James Davies, T. Lewis, N. Rowe, Rhydian Rees, N. Guymer, Geoffrey Martin, G. Edwards, J. Morris, Harry Bolton (capt.), S. Ive, Ian Davies.
