Two teams from Templeton School recently travelled to Fishguard Leisure Centre, to play in the first round of the 'Activate' Welsh Primary Schools Hockey Competition. Teams from Holy Name, Brynconin and Redhill schools joined them in an afternoon of hockey organised by Joanne Williams (Dragon Sports co- ordinator), Angela Miles (hockey development officer) and Christine Lewis. Six teams competed on the day for the two places in the Zone final to be held in Cardigan in June. Templeton 'A' won both their games in Pool 1, while Holy Name 'A' won both their games in Pool 2 and both teams progress to the Zone final representing Pembrokeshire. Templeton's second team, comprising of pupils mainly from years three and four, are to be commended for their efforts as they were playing against pupils two years older than themselves and they showed great promise for the future. Many thanks to all the parents and grandparents who helped transport the children to Fishguard and for supporting them throughout a very busy afternoon.
