In September 1913, Lloyds Bank opened a branch at Cambridge House, Main Street, Pembroke. The premises were originally rented from a local butcher, who lived next door - and a branch at 35 Dimond Street, Pembroke Dock, where the architect appointed to remodel the premises was Mr. Hugh J. P. Thomas, of Haverfordwest.
The Pembroke branch was initially a sub-branch to Pembroke Dock and was only open on Saturdays and during the Pembroke Fair. It became full branch in December 1950. The premises were extended in 1966.
The principal reason for opening the Pembroke Dock branch was to accommodate many of the bank's customers at Haverfordwest who lived in the Pembroke Dock area. It was initially a sub-branch to Haverfordwest, but became full branch in December 1919.
Both the branches remain in these same premises today.
