Due to unavoidable circumstances, the February meeting of the society had to be re-arranged at very short notice. Dr. Roger Turvey will now complete his trilogy, hopefully in September with his subject 'Llewellyn the Last'. The initial disappointment at the evening in question was soon forgotten, however, when one of the stalwart members, Rev. Robin Webley, came to the rescue. With no warning, no preparation and no subject, he kept the audience fully entertained for some considerable time. He chose 'superstitions' as his subject. His knowledge and endless humour was fully appreciated by the members, for which chairman Don Johns gave him a resounding vote of thanks. A reminder to members and friends - the annual coach trip will be on Thursday, May 10, when there will be a visit to Margam Abbey and South Wales Miners Museum, including lunch. At the moment there are still a few seats available. The next society meeting will be on Wednesday, March 21, at the Regency Hall, at 7.30 pm, the subject being Sunderland Flying Boats. The speaker, John Evans, is a well-known researcher in Pembrokeshire aviation.
