A local councillor believes that one of Tenby's unique historic sights should not be obscured anymore. Clr. Mrs. Caroline Thomas told her colleagues at Tuesday evening's meeting of the town council that since two trees were cut down on the South Parade, the view of the Five Arches had improved dramatically. "The magnificent icon of the town, the West Gate is known worldwide, and I hope that these trees are not reinstated so that the view of the unique Five Arches can be enjoyed and appreciated by everyone," Clr. Mrs. Thomas said.
