Last Thursday saw the re-dedication of St. Anne's Church, New Hedges.

The timber framed, corrugated-iron clad building was built in 1928 and is one of the last 'tin tabernacle' churches remaining in the country.

One of only 30 such buildings still used for worship, the church underwent major renovations at the end of last year.

Funding for the project, which cost in excess of £75,000, came from a £62,200 Heritage Lottery Fund grant and money raised by church members.

Archdeacon of St. Davids, the Venerable Graham Davies, performed the re-dedication and preached at a special Evensong last Thursday - St. Anne's Day.

The service was conducted by the Rector of Tenby, Canon David Jenkins, with team vicar Rev. Mark Soady leading the congregation in prayers of thanksgiving.
