TUESDAY saw the opening night of Alan Ayckbourn's 'Bedroom Farce' at Milford Haven's Torch Theatre. Trevor and Susannah have a problem relationship which requires urgent attention. What better solution than to talk it over with family and friends? Preferably in their respective bedrooms and ideally in the middle of the night. Inevitably, for Ernest and Delia, Nick and Jan, Malcolm and Kate, one problem relationship tends to spark off another. With friends like Susannah and Trevor, no one gets much sleep! This production from the award-winning Torch Theatre Company features a rare stage appearance from Peter Doran (who also directs and was a member of the original Torch Theatre Company, with many theatre and television credits to his name), plus performances by Dave Ainsworth ('Oh, Hello' and 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest'); Kyra Williams (Audrey in 'Little Shop of Horrors' and Nurse Ratched in 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest'). There are also many new faces at the Torch, but, they should be familiar from appearances on television and in theatres all over the country, and include Kate Dove, who also co-directs, and played Elizabeth Pollard for four years on 'Emmerdale', John Pennington, whose face will be familiar from playing the grandfather in the Werthers Originals ads, plus appearances in many television programmes including 'Crossroads', 'Peak Practice', 'The Bill', 'Boon', 'Lovejoy', 'Yes, Minister', 'Only Fools and Horses', as well as working with Dick Emery, Marti Caine and Les Dawson in their comedy shows, and Noel White, who has appeared in 'Where the Heart is', 'Crossroads', 'Footballers Wives', 'Lucy Sullivan's Getting Married' and 'A Band of Gold'. Youth tickets are priced at £5 each and are available to all young people aged 16 and under, every Tuesday and Thursday of this run, which ends on October 30.
