Plans to site 'high density' housing on the former site of Tenby's gas holders, were deferred by National Park planners this week.
The application by Lattice Property Holdings Ltd. seeks to build a residential development on the 0.718 acre site in Gas Lane.
Development control officer, Mrs. Cathy Milner, told the authority's development control committee on Wednesday that, while there were no objections to the principle of development of this site, the application had been 'extremely vague'.
It had been "almost impossible" for consultees, neighbours or even park officers to comment on the application as a result, and repeated requests had been made to the developer's agent for a more detailed submission.
Mrs. Milner explained that she had told the agents that a layout should be prepared indicating the footprint of the buildings, the height of the buildings, the number of units, access, parking and amenity space.
Without this information she was unable to advise the committee further and had been mindful to recommend the plan be turned down due to insufficient information
However, in the authority's mailbag that very morning had been a more detailed submission showing 16 units with 16 car parking spaces.
Mrs. Milner said that this plan had to be studied and sent to all the relevant consultees before a recommendation could be brought forward and asked for the matter to be deferred.
