The family saga continued on Sunday afternoon when the pastor, Rev. Peter Richmond, talked about the lives of Jacob and his wives.

Because he was tricked, the man famous for tricking his father ended up marrying two sisters, Leah and Rachel. Both of them were desperately jealous of each other - Rachel had all Jacob's love but no children, while Leah had given birth to four sons. It then became a battle for love and offspring, with even the household servants being involved. The Bible shows God's compassion on the women, despite the mistakes they make, and ultimately they are both blessed by him.

This family are the ancestors of the prophet Moses, King David, and Jesus himself.

"Whatever is our hurt, failure, frustration, or desperation -whether in relationships, finance or even in spiritual matters, we can bring our bareness to a God who hears and remembers," said the pastor.

"He takes the worst possible scenario and turns it into a blessing."

The sermon was complemented with some well- known worship songs; prayers were also given. The service ended with refreshments.
