It is now 11 years since Hesed Christian Fellowship started public services. Sunday afternoon was an anniversary celebration and worshippers shared a tea together in Carringtons after the service. A birthday cake was presented to Gladys, on whose 80th birthday the church had been formed. The service was more-or-less spontaneous, with hymns being chosen on the spot and most members sharing a reading, devotion, poem or song. Carringtons Restaurant, below the Atlantic Hotel, is the setting for Sunday services, which take place at 4.15 pm every week. Tuesday evening Bible study incorporates communion and prayers and is held in different homes.
