Hesed Fellowship welcome you to their informal services, which are held in Carringtons Restaurant, below the Atlantic Hotel, every Sunday at 4.15 pm. Last Sunday, the pastor, Rev. Peter Richmond, finished his series on Psalm 15 with the promise, "he who does these things will never be shaken." He made it clear that the promise is not for those who say the right things, it is only for those who follow the advice of the Psalm: to walk with integrity, choose right, speak the truth, refrain from slander and malice, honour the innocent, keep promises, and always put principle above profit. The Lord is often described as a rock; a fortress. King David knew the strength of rocks and the refuge of a cave. In Psalm 62 he declared that God is both strong and loving so... "My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken." The pastor also quoted the Apostle Paul, who was able to say in the context of early church persecution: "We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed." Songs and hymns included 'The Lord is My Rock', 'A Wonderful Saviour' and 'My Hope is Built on Nothing Less.' The service also included prayers and concluded with refreshments. The fellowship are always grateful to Mark and the staff of Carringtons for making them so welcome. For more information about Hesed, telephone 01646 681805.
