In the context of a worship service in Carringtons Restaurant, the pastor of Hesed, Rev. Peter Richmond, based his talk on the fourth chapter of St. Paul's first letter to the Thessalonians. He summarised it's message: "Obedient Christians are to live holy lives, not subscribing to the world's permissive standards, harmonious lives by loving each other and hopeful lives confident of the future into eternity." "When unsaved people see Christ magnified in this kind of a life, they will either oppose it with envy or desire to have it for themselves. Either, way, God is glorified." As part of a combined fundraising effort, Hesed musician Paddy has just released an extensive three CD set of his own songs. Priced at £15 each, each CD sold will bring Hesed's target of £7,000 for 'Open Doors' Jubilee Project £15 closer. All funds will go towards building a safe house or crisis centre for persecuted Christians living in dangerous situations.
