A man from Coxhill in Narberth is to stand trial before a jury accused of dealing in heroin.

James David Platt, aged 27, appeared before a judge at Swansea Crown Court on Friday to admit possessing a quantity of heroin on October 21.

But he denied a more serious charge of possessing the drugs with intent to supply them to others.

Platt, of Garfield Gardens, admitted a further charge of obstructing a detective sergeant in the execution of his duty.

David Lindsay, prosecuting, said the pleas were not acceptable to the Crown Prosecution Service.

Platt will stand trial in mid April on the charge he denies.

Judge Peter Heywood granted him bail until then.
