The Admiral and the actor joined forces to give top marks to Pembrokeshire's newest heritage attraction - run by the Pembroke Dock Sunderland Trust. Admiral Terry Loughran, a former Captain of the Royal Navy's flagship aircraft carrier HMS Ark Royal, and John Altman, who starred as 'Nasty Nick' in BBC's long-running 'Eastenders', were in Pembrokeshire with their ladies as guests of the Rev. Mike Brotherton and his mother, Beryl, at Angle. They were invited to see the Pembroke Dock Heritage Centre in the restored Royal Dockyard Chapel, which opened in April. Said Admiral Loughran: "I saw the chapel from the outside in May of last year when Rev. Mike dedicated the Battle of the Atlantic memorial stone. To see it now, transformed into a wonderful heritage centre, is a delight and full praise to the Sunderland Trust for what they have achieved. "As a Navy man and an aviator, I was particularly impressed by the naval displays, including all the Royal Yachts for Queen Victoria, and the flying boat history." Added John: "I had heard from Mike about the new centre and was so taken with it all and look forward to a return visit soon."
