MDCC Theatre Company returns to Pembroke Castle this summer with their action-packed performance of Shakespeare's 'Henry V'. Pembroke Castle was the birthplace of Henry's grandson Henry VII, and so the group are looking forward to bringing a little piece of local history to the town.

Henry V is one of Shakespeare's most famous Welsh characters, and the actor playing him is very excited about the culmination of his summer tour at such an historic venue. Nick Kendrick said: "I'm so excited, and proud, to be performing this part in such an historic venue. It's really going to be inspirational to be storming across the battlements of the castle, picturing Henry VII's ancestors doing the same." The evening performances at the castle (Tuesday, July 29 - Friday, August 1, at 7.30 pm) are part of a 40-year performance history of MDCC, and this year looks to be another success for the Birmingham-based company. Tickets, which cost £5 each, can be purchased from the castle, tel. 01646684585.
