What's on the menu at your local library?

Would you like to read something light and fluffy, hot and steamy or substantial and wholesome?

If you don't know what's on offer, you can now pick up a Book Menu from your local library - or participating cafes and restaurants - and discover a tasty new reading experience.

The Book Menu is a new initiative, which was launched at selected libraries across Pembrokeshire last week.

The Book Menu aims to offer ideas and inspiration by matching the common experiences of reading and food.

"If you are looking for a book that is tempting and tangy, then you will find examples under appetisers, or if you prefer something more filling, go straight to the main courses," said Gill Gilliland, of the Pembrokeshire Library Service. "All the books listed on the menu will be available for loan."

The Book Menu promotion is taking place at Haverfordwest, Fishguard and Narberth libraries.

So the next time you are feeling hungry for a good read, go along to your local library and pick up a menu.
