As well as having increasing numbers coming to worship, Hebron delights to welcome many holidaymakers, some visiting often from spring through to autumn. They bring encouragement and enrich the Fellowship. Mr. Anthony Standing gave a warm welcome to everyone at the commencement of the service. The musicians were Helen Standing (piano), Rebekah Chatwin (flute) and Molly Lewis (violin). The Bible reading from Acts 2 v 1-14 and verses 37-42 was read by Mr. Geoff Beckingham. The welcome steward was Mrs. Janet Roberts. Mr. Beckingham, a full-time evangelist with Open Air Campaign Ministries, is also so an illusionist. Not just the young people, but the whole congregation was fascinated by his gospel presentation. In his sermon, Mr. Beckingham spoke about the coming of the Spirit and the change and boldness which came over the disciples. It was the Lord's promise that He would be with them and help them as they went out into the world to preach the gospel as He had commanded. In the afternoon, Mr. Beckingham spoke at the Pentecost Service on the harbour (pictured). With the aid of his sketchboard, he presented a clear Pentecost message. Helen Standing, Rebekah Chatwin and Caitlin Cumberland, were the musicians. There were a good number of people worshipping together from many of the local churches. Earlier in the week, Mr. Beckingham had been to Saundersfoot School with Mr. and Mrs. Standing for the school assembly. With the aid of the sketchboard, Mr. Beckingham presented a Bible verse quiz which was won by the girls and told the story of Zacchaeus, who followed Jesus and whose heart was changed from being selfish to being a person who showed care and concern for others. On Sunday at 11 am. the speaker will be Mr. Brian Rogers, with activities for young people in the hall during the message. Crusaders Tuesday Club meets from 6-7.30 pm. The Ladies Fellowship is on Wednesday at 2.30 pm and Bible Study on Thursday at 7.30 pm. We give you a warm welcome to our services and activities.
