It was a case of heave-ho me hearties for a group of residents from Jeffreyston on Saturday when they undertook a sponsored inshore lifeboat pull in aid of Tenby RNLI.
Organised by Jeffreyston Inn Boat Owners Club, the pull, of an exhibition model boat, coincided with RNLI Day.
Starting at Saundersfoot, the 15-strong team, which included five women, pulled and pushed the boat around the village, and then made their way to Kilgetty, Broadmoor and Cross Inn, before finally heading to Jeffreyston, where they were treated to a real heroes welcome by all those attending the family fun day at the village's pub.
"The pull took just under three hours to complete and we would like to thank the volunteers and everyone who supported us," said Ian Evans, club secretary. "We hope that we have raised a good sum of money for Tenby RNLI and we hope to know the total shortly."
